Jury begins deliberation in trial of teen charged with murdering Melanie McCarthy McNamara

A jury has begun deliberating in the trial of a teenager charged with murdering Melanie McCarthy McNamara, after hearing closing speeches from each side. Daniel McDonnell's barrister told jurors that there wasn't a scintilla of evidence against his client apart from two letters he wrote in prison, which he described as 'rants to his friend and girlfriend'.
